Earldine Woodruff

Earldine Woodruff, 77, of Chattanooga died Tuesday, Feb. 22, in a local hospital.

She was born June 5, 1927, in Chattanooga and retired from All Saints Academy after many years of service.

Survivors include her three daughters, Gail Cunningham, Bernadine and husband Jerry Cranford, and Sylvia and husband Lawrence Dees; six sons, John Jr. and wife Anita Woodruff, James and wife Patricia Woodruff, Ernest and wife Brenda Woodruff, Larry Woodruff, Lorenzo and wife Tangelia Woodruff, and Tony Smith Sr., all of Chattanooga; 19 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held Friday, Feb. 25, at Sts. Peter and Paul Church. Burial was in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Jerry Mikeal

Jerry H. Mikeal, 59, of St. Therese Parish in Clinton died Thursday, Feb. 24, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville.

Mr. Mikeal’s most recent positions were with Jacobs Engineering and Management Solutions assigned to Alstom. He was vice president and division manager for SAIC’s Engineering and Environmental Group, manager for project controls at the IT Corp., and senior consultant at Decision Planning Corp. Mr. Mikeal was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He had a bachelor of science degree from North Carolina State University and a master of science degree from the U.S. Air Force Institute.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Mikeal of Clinton; daughters, Tina and husband David Adkins of Raleigh, N.C., and Angie and husband Josh Yonce of Oak Ridge; son, Paul and wife Marlo Mikeal of Charlotte, N.C.; mother, Lucille Mikeal of Todd, N.C.; and four grandchildren.

The funeral Mass was held Saturday, Feb. 26, at St. Therese Church with Father Bill McKenzie officiating. Mr. Mikeal was buried Sunday, Feb. 27, in Mill Creek Community Cemetery, Todd, N.C.
