Herb and Jean Kenz of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Fairfield Glade celebrated 50 years of marriage Feb. 19.

The Kenzes were married at St. Philomena Church in Detroit. They have three sons, Joe Kenz of Culver, Ind.; Bill Kenz of Morehead, Minn.; and Kevin Kenz of Kalamazoo, Mich.; three daughters, Kathie Forrest of Thompson Station and Debbie Herson and Kris Kenz, both of Kalamazoo; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Kenz retired as associate director of financial aid at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1988, retiring as a chief warrant officer 4. Mrs. Kenz is a retired saleswoman.

The Kenzes celebrated the golden anniversary with friends and family Feb. 19 at a restaurant in Fairfield Glade, and their children will throw a party for them this summer in Kalamazoo.
