The Fentress County Catholic Community celebrated Father Michael Sweeney’s
25th anniversary of ordination to the priesthood following an outdoor Mass
on May 29 on the site of the parish’s future church in Jamestown. Above,
Father Sweeney stands with parishioner Michael Romer. The silver jubilarian
is also pastor of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Harriman and St. Ann Parish in
Lancing, both of which also honored his anniversary. Coverage of the Blessed
Sacrament anniversary Mass will appear in the July 11 ETC.
